| Hola! Welcome to my website. The fact that you are browsing these pages probably means that you are interested in learning or continuing to learn Spanish.
This site is designed to give you as much information as possible about the service that I provide. Whatever your reasons for wanting to learn Spanish (and it will hopefully become a lifelong passion) I can help. First of all, let me tell you a bit about my background and how I came to teach this wonderful language.
I have been passionate about Spanish and Spain since my first visit to the Iberian Peninsula over twenty years ago. I have experienced living in both a historic yet bustling city in Andalusia and a small Catalonian seaside town. I studied Spanish language and literature at the University of London (QMW) gaining an upper second class degree. During that period I was privileged to also spend a term at the University of Cordoba, where I was later to spend several years teaching and translating.
Although now based in Norfolk, my family and I have a deep connection to Spain and try to return as often as possible. Since university, I have trained as both a teacher of English as a Foreign Language and as a teacher in Post Compulsory Education (specialising in the Spanish language). I particularly enjoyed teaching Spanish within Further and Adult Education over 5 years in Sussex and have taught all levels including Business Spanish for American Express and Open College Network accredited courses in Brighton and Hove. Some of my students just want enough conversational Spanish to get by on their annual holiday and to improve year on year, others want to travel across Latin America, to retire to the Canary Islands or to pass that GCSE or A level. |
